As a blogger for several years, the art of finding the source has always been an uphill battle. Some people make it so much harder than it needs to be (read this: weheartit.com is not a source), and sometimes, as hard as I try, I unfortunately have to list the source as unknown. But when you think about it, isn't that just amazing? This world is so big and I am so small, behind my bright white computer screen. The Internet is so vast and unexplored that things can get lost within it, that owners lose their belongings through the black hole of the World Wide Web and somehow it ends up in my hands, on my screen, wandering. Maybe I'm exaggerating its intensity. Maybe it's getting late and I just really go to sleep because UGH I have school tomorrow, but instead I'm typing out yet another paragraph on my angsty teenage blog. Or maybe this world is endless and terrible and amazing.
I love the faerie aesthetic that a lot of these pictures that I rounded up have. I can't wait for the summer, to wear flowy dresses and flower crowns and sandals and oxfords with cut-outs. The Coachella lineup was the last straw. I'm so done with winter.

Overall, I like to think it was an okay week for fashion. It's starting to get a little windy out here, so I have to stick to tighter skirts and shorts most of the time. It always gets windy around the end of winter and summer, and it's the worst. I can't count how many times I almost pulled a Marilyn with my dresses.
I just ordered a copy of The Virgin Suicides and Palo Alto Stories! I cannot fathom how excited I am. I got through about 1/4 of The Virgin Suicides at Barnes & Noble before my father tragically ripped me away from it, and my slightly divided adoration for James Franco (the only other man who could steal my heart is Mister Joseph Gordon-Levitt) just could not resist the pull of Palo Alto Stories anymore. They're due to arrive sometime before February 10, and I can't wait to read them, even though I still have a pile of 50 books to read. Well, more like 10, but it feels like 50.
All these pictures from the filming of Palo Alto Stories are making me excited. I want to write a few shorts based on the style of Palo Alto, like based on the adventures of the kids who live in my town, because we are reckless and young and crazy. I think I'll try it.

LOVE this inspiration! Good finds. No worries about crediting to the source as you say...I agree! If it's something that you feel needs to be shared w/ others...who cares about the source anyways. THanks for the Nirvana ear candy...I am gonna have a listen right now<333

DeleteNice selection of pictures :) Woa yea, time flies (out the window). The dreamy haze of winter sounds nice, but the cold sounds gross. Do you prefer summer over winter? I really like your creme dress and black cardigan outfit. Very poetical. Nirvana, cool :P
ReplyDeleteThank you! I definitely prefer summer over the winter.
